OUCO Heavy Industry has successfully finalized factory testing and dispatched two highly customized offshore knuckle telescopic boom cranes. These units were purpose-built for a leading German manufacturer specializing in amphibious machines and bespoke engineering equipment designed for extreme terrains and water conservancy projects. The machinery is currently en route to Nigeria, where it will be mounted onto specialized tracked pontoon platforms for coastal dredging and subsea cable laying operations.
Engineered to stringent offshore standards, each crane boasts a lifting capacity of 19.22 tonnes at a 7.97-meter radius, alongside a maximum working reach of 14.17 meters. Unlike conventional ship deck installations, these cranes are uniquely tailored for amphibious deployment. Positioned opposite a heavy excavator on manageable pontoon platforms, the cranes draw their hydraulic power directly from the excavator's own power unit. This integrated design allows for high-precision lifting during complex marine and marshland operations without the need for an independent power source.
Operating in West Africa requires equipment capable of withstanding extreme tropical heat, high humidity, and severe salt-spray corrosion. To guarantee longevity, OUCO utilized premium global components and advanced protective measures:
To ensure absolute reliability and a zero-downtime deployment, this project underwent rigorous dual-phase verification. Initially, the cranes passed comprehensive Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) at OUCO, exceeding all design specifications during functional and overload assessments.
Following delivery, OUCO dispatched dedicated field engineers to the pontoon manufacturer’s facility to personally supervise the on-site installation. Once the cranes were successfully mounted to the amphibious platforms, our engineering team conducted a second round of full-system commissioning and load testing. By thoroughly evaluating both the pontoon's walking mechanisms and the crane's lifting capabilities, we ensured perfect synergy before the machinery officially enters service in West Africa.
From collaborating with German amphibious engineering experts to finalizing offshore deployment in Nigeria, this project highlights OUCO Heavy Industry’s capacity to deliver tailor-made, high-reliability marine machinery worldwide. With rigorous testing and premium construction, OUCO continues to empower global water conservancy and offshore projects with trustworthy lifting solutions.
